Turf, Countryside, and Ranch is a four-block area bounded by Washington Street to the west, Driving Park to the east, Bridle Lane to the north and Parkway to the south.
This area does have the Thomas Overland Flow Path routed through the north portion of the region, and is roughly characterized by lots with low slope, homes installed at grade with no side yard swales, and a general lack of an acceptable grading and/or stormwater plan.
A vast majority of the original homes have slab-on-grade foundations; no basements or crawl spaces. The lack of any existing stormwater routing in many cases results in overland flooding into the first floor of homes simply because there is no way for water to flow past the homes.
