Citizens Ride-Along Program

The Wheaton Police Department is pleased to offer the opportunity for citizens to ride with a Wheaton Police Officer as a way to learn first-hand what it's like to provide police services in Wheaton. This program pairs a citizen with an officer for a shift. The officer will answer questions about the police department and the community while actively performing patrol duties.

How to Request a Ride-Along

Interested citizens should fill out the Ride-Along Program Application Form. Or, visit the Wheaton Police Department at 900 W. Liberty Drive and speak with a Police Services Representative.

Once you submit an application and waiver, a representative from the Wheaton Police Department will contact you. If approved, we will coordinate the date and time of the ride-along with you.
