Permit Submittal Process

The City of Wheaton Building Department accepts permit application submittals either by mail or in-person. We do not accept permit applications via email at this time.

Submittals by Mail:

Submittals by mail must include all required documentation as indicated within our project guidelines, along with a cover letter that details the site address, the scope of work, and what is included within the submittal package. Please send the submittal package to:

In-Person Submittal:

To submit in-person, please bring your complete submittal to the Wheaton Building Department. We are located on the 1st floor of City Hall.

Our business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays). Our address is:
