- Parkway Ash Tree Replacement Program
The City Council is funding a six-year plan to replace all parkway ash trees with new trees, as long as the sites are deemed suitable for replanting. The Forestry Division has developed an Urban Reforestation Policy to guide the process and ensure a diverse parkway tree population throughout the city.
If you don’t want to wait until a new tree is planted through this program, you are able to plant one yourself if you apply for a No-Cost Permit (PDF) and receive approval from the Forestry Superintendent.
The map below identifies the “Planting Sites” and “Non-Suitable Planting Sites”. Zoom in to see individual ash tree replanting location and target planting year or enter a street address into the search box to find a specific location.
