Wheaton Bicycle Plan

Using funding from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation grant, the City partnered with Active Transportation Alliance to help develop the bicycle plan in cooperation with a task force of representatives from the Wheaton Environmental Improvement Commission, various City departments, the Wheaton Park District, DuPage County Forest Preserve District and Community Unit School District 200.

Adopted in 2011, the Plan is composed of improvements to the physical infrastructure, policies, and programs that make it safer and more convenient for people to walk, bike and use transit in Wheaton. To develop these recommendations, the consultants turned to the experts - the users of the network. Guided by their insight, this plan will position Wheaton for a brighter, active and more healthy future.
