Ride DuPage Transportation Program

About the Program

Wheaton seniors age 65 and older and residents with disabilities can receive curb-to-curb paratransit service through Ride DuPage, a subsidized transportation program. Fares are a flat fee of $2 per ride plus $1 for each mile traveled within DuPage County only. Participants must register for the program with the City of Wheaton before they may use the program. To register, review the User’s Guide (PDF) and complete the Ride DuPage Registration Form (PDF) and send to:

Ride to Work

In addition to Ride DuPage the City offers the Ride DuPage to Work program for work-related travel only. Fares are a flat fee of $3 for the first 6 miles, plus $1 for each additional mile traveled within DuPage County only.

RTA Senior Ride Free Permit

The RTA Senior Ride Free Permit allows qualifying seniors age 65 and older to ride at no cost on CTA, Metra and Pace fixed route bus and rail services. Applicants must be enrolled in the Benefit Access Program administered by the Illinois Department on Aging (DOA). For more information, visit the Regional Transit Authority website.
