How to Do Business with the City of Wheaton

Welcome Vendors! Thank you for your interest in doing business with the City of Wheaton. The City is always interested in partnering with qualified vendors who provide the highest quality goods and services while obtaining the best value for tax dollars expended.

Public notice of formal solicitations issued by the City of Wheaton are posted on the City’s website and on DemandStar.com. Vendors are encouraged to participate in the City’s electronic bid distribution by registering at either of these websites to receive up-to-date information.

  1. City of Wheaton website
    Register your email address at City of Wheaton Bid Postings webpage to receive an automatic text message or email when new solicitations are posted that match the category of the product or service you provide. Registration is FREE and there is no fee to download or print solicitations.
  2. DemandStar.com
    Register with DemandStar.com to receive automatic email notifications of bids/proposals related to your industry. Registered Vendors will receive automatic email notifications when new solicitations are posted that match the commodity code(s) in their profile.

Registration is FREE under the Basic Plan and will allow Vendors to download bid/proposal documents and transact business with any one agency (i.e., City of Wheaton) chosen as their “Free Agency” during the registration process.

Once registered, Vendors will have the ability to:

  • Receive automatic notification of Bid/RFP opportunities for the City of Wheaton.
  • Download and print solicitation documents, award information, drawings, and Addenda.
  • Submit Bid/RFP responses electronically.
  • Access Plan Holders lists.

It is the Vendors responsibility to maintain the accuracy of their electronic company profile to ensure receipt of bid notifications.
