Light Up Wheaton
Let's Bring Joy to Our Days and Lights to Our Nights
This year perhaps more than ever, our community could use a lift in spirits. The City of Wheaton and the Wheaton Park District are teaming up to encourage everyone to “Light Up Wheaton” by adding lights and decorations outside their homes throughout the holiday season. To help Light Up Wheaton, simply put out lights and decorations in the coming weeks for all to see.
In addition, those who want to show off their lights can register to be part of the Light Up Wheaton decorating contest. This contest is FREE to all community members to enter and participants will have the chance to compete for the Peoples’ Choice Award and Mayor’s Choice Award.
If you're not competing in the contest, make sure you’re following the Wheaton Park District and the City of Wheaton on social media so you can vote for your favorite lights and to get your map of Light Up Wheaton holiday stops.
Join fellow community members and compete for the title of Light Up Wheaton Holiday Spirit Champions! Homeowners, businesses, churches and other buildings can take part in this free contest. Entry photos will be shared on the City of Wheaton and Wheaton Park District social media platforms to view virtually and addresses will be listed on the City's website for community members to visit their favorite entries. If visiting entry address locations, please be respectful and remain within your vehicle while passing.
Contest award winners will be announced via social media the week of Dec. 21.
