The City of Wheaton recently learned that it received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for Wheaton's 2017 fiscal year Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This is the highest form of recognition in government accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government.
This is the 36th consecutive year the City of Wheaton has received this award.
Each year, the City's Finance Department compiles this report highlighting the City's finances. The award recognizes that Wheaton published an easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report.
