[ARCHIVED] Wheaton Police Requesting Video Recordings to Assist in Identifying Vehicle

The Wheaton Police Department continues to investigate a criminal trespass to residence and suspicious incident that occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday, December 15, 2022 and is seeking the community’s assistance to aid in the investigation.  

Numerous community partners have contacted the police department and shared their observations and video from their doorbell cameras and security systems. The Wheaton Police Department has identified a vehicle of interest, and the police department is requesting residents and businesses located between Liberty Drive and Geneva Road in Wheaton to please check their video recordings for information that could be connected to these incidents.  

If you have any motion-activated recordings between midnight and 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, with a vehicle or subject matching the descriptions below, please contact Lieutenant Brian Gabryel at 630-260-2063. 

Vehicle of interestThe vehicle of interest is described as a light colored 4-door late model sedan.

The individual of interest is described as a black male, approximately 30 years of age, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. 

Residents are reminded to immediately report suspicious individuals, vehicles or incidents by calling 911.
