A popular Wheaton event that draws a crowd each Saturday will return to downtown Wheaton starting Saturday, April 14, 2018. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week, check out the Wheaton French Market at the parking lot just south of the railroad tracks near Main Street and Liberty Drive.
This open-air market, modeled after outdoor markets in France, features local vendors selling fresh produce, flowers, handcrafted items, jewelry, specialty foods and much more. Vendors vary by week, so come back to find a different selection throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Construction for the Downtown Streetscape Project will this spring and summer will be taking place along Front Street from West to Cross streets, so the French Market will not be affected. In addition to on-street parking, you can find additional free parking in the Willow Avenue Garage, just south of the French Market.
