Weather permitting, Lorraine Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Hill and Chesterfield from 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12. This is due to storm sewer work that the Village of Glen Ellyn is performing at the intersection of Sawyer and Lorraine. During this closure, only local traffic will be permitted on Lorraine Street between Hill Avenue and Chesterfield Avenue. Through traffic will be diverted to Hill Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue. We are sharing this notice because this closure will affect nearby Wheaton streets, including Sawyer, Windsor, Wilshire, Chesterfield and Glendale.
