[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Wheaton’s History with Preservation Month

Preservation Week

As part of Preservation Month 2021, from Saturday, May 15 to Sunday, May 23 the Historic Commission will place “Pride in Preservation” purple lawn signs throughout Wheaton at designated Wheaton Historic Landmarks and locations listed on the Wheaton Register of Historic Places. Many of these sites include a plaque with the estimated date of construction or a permanent interpretive sign with more additional information. For an online tour of Wheaton's Landmarks, you can see them on the City's website here.

In addition, from May 15 through May 23, Cantigny Park will waive its parking fee to Wheaton residents. To receive free admission, Wheaton residents must show proof of residency upon entry.
