[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspects

On Jan. 7, 2018, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Wheaton Police Officers were dispatched for an armed robbery at the 7-11 convenience store at 1277 E. Butterfield in Wheaton. 


It was reported that two suspects wearing ski masks entered the store brandishing a handgun. The store employee was struck on the head by one of the suspects, who also threatened to shoot the employee. 


surveillance2The suspects fled after stealing money and cigarettes. An older, dark-colored SUV was seen fleeing the area and may have contained the suspects. 


One of the suspects wore a very distinct coat as seen in the surveillance images displayed here.
