On Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, the following streets will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the Emerson Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk:
- Woodlawn Street between Childs Street & Liberty Drive
- Liberty Drive between Woodlawn Street & Morgan Avenue
- Morgan Avenue between Liberty Drive & Manchester Road
- Manchester Road between Morgan Avenue & Birch Drive
- Birch Drive between Manchester Road & Beecher Avenue
- Beecher Avenue between Birch Drive & Graf Park
- Hazelton Avenue between Manchester Road & Williams Street
- Williams Street between Hazelton Avenue & Erie Street
- Erie Street between Williams Street & Childs Street
- Childs Street between Erie Street & Dorchester Avenue
- Dorchester Avenue between Childs Street & Lakeside Drive
- Lakeside Drive between Dorchester Avenue & Gables Boulevard
- Gables Boulevard between Lakeside Drive & Childs Street
- Childs Street between Gables Boulevard & Woodlawn Street
- Sunnybrook Lane at both entrances
Streets will be staffed with uniformed Police Officers to assist and direct traffic. Residents, citizens, and motorists are asked for your cooperation in not moving the barricades to ensure the safety of the runners. Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and choose to alter their travel routes to avoid these areas.
Residents needing assistance with entering or exiting the race route during this timeframe are asked to call 911, and officers will assist in safely navigating vehicles off the route.
