[ARCHIVED] Wesley Street Drainage Improvements

road closed sign

The City of Wheaton will be making improvements to the Wesley Street drainage system beginning on Monday, October 30th.  Bolder Construction has been contracted to install 30-inch diameter storm sewer pipe along Wesley Street between Ellis Avenue and Western Avenue.

Wesley Street between Ellis Avenue and Western Avenue will be closed to thru traffic and temporary two-way travel for local traffic only will be permitted during construction. A detour will be posted to direct traffic around the area of construction.

The roadway on this block will be posted as temporary 2-way traffic to allow for residents to access their driveways during the evening hours. Vehicles will not be permitted to park on Wesley Street from 6:30 am until 5:30 pm, Monday thru Friday, while construction is in progress. Residents may park on Wesley Street during evening hours and on the west side of Ellis Avenue during daytime hours.

Construction will take place between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and the project is expected to be complete in 4-5 weeks, depending on weather conditions.  For questions and more information, please contact the City of Wheaton Engineering Department at 630.2605.
