We are pleased to unveil the City of Wheaton’s new website to the community. Created with the user in mind, the new website is designed to work well on any type of device, from cell phones and tablets to desktop computers.
The website features a brand-new look using a clean, more modern design that features images from around Wheaton.
We also reorganized the site to feature the most frequently requested information in easy-to-find places. For example, if you’re a resident looking for information on community events, garbage/recycling information, utilities or other resident-related information, you’ll find it all in the “Living Here” drop-down menu from anywhere on the site. Or, if you’re trying to accomplish a specific task, like finding job postings, choose the “How Do I …” drop-down menu, and there you’ll find “Jobs.”
The new site allows you to sign up for email or text message notifications when certain items are added to the website, like new jobs, emergency alerts, news items, bid postings, or meeting agendas. Go to the “Notify Me” section and choose which types of updates you’d like to receive. This is also where you can sign up to receive the City’s weekly email newsletter, Wheaton Weekly.
What do you think? How is the new website working for you? Share your feedback with us.
