[ARCHIVED] Police Arrest Suspect for Aggravated Battery

At approximately 9:50 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, officers from the Wheaton Police Department responded to the 1300 block of E. Roosevelt Road for a stabbing. Officers discovered a victim who had been stabbed several times. 

The offender was also found on the scene and admitted to stabbing the victim during a fight. Billy J. Thomas of Wheaton was taken into custody. 

The victim was transported to the hospital by the Wheaton Fire Department with non-life threatening injuries. 

Upon conclusion of the investigation, two counts of aggravated battery were approved by the office of DuPage County State's Attorney Bob Berlin. Billy J. Thomas was charged and transferred to the DuPage County Jail to await bond court.
