[ARCHIVED] Construction Work Update for Wesley Street

DSC_9037

As crews contracted by the City of Wheaton begin work on underground utilities on Wesley Street, please note the following work happening in downtown Wheaton:

On Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, crews from John Neri Construction will be saw-cutting pavement on Wesley Street between Main Street and Cross Street. This work will require some lane closures and parking restrictions during the day, with a lane of traffic remaining open.

On Thursday, Aug. 30, a crew will begin to excavate and install sanitary sewer sewers beginning in the intersection of Main Street and moving east toward Cross Street. During the day on Thursday, Main Street at Wesley will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing northbound and southbound traffic. This is only anticipated to last one day, as the contractor moves through the intersection and works toward Cross.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this work.
