Police impersonator

Wheaton Police Investigating Reports of Police Impersonator

Wheaton Police are investigating several reports of an individual impersonating a police officer on June 3 and 4. The suspect has approached several residences with a badge shown and identified himself as a police officer or police detective. This image from a video doorbell shows the suspect that Wheaton Police are seeking, a white male who appears to be in his 20s, wearing a sport coat and badge on his belt. Anyone with information about the suspect should call Lieutenant Cooley 630-260-2077.

Also included below are photos of an actual Wheaton Police Detective shield and Wheaton Police star for your reference. Wheaton Police Officers/Detectives will always identify themselves by uniform or credentials. Residents may also call the police department directly at 630-260-2161 to verify an officer's identity.
