Chili Cook-off is This Saturday
Local Downtown Wheaton restaurants will once more enter the fun of the 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off taking place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Chili-lovers will be able to sample a variety of chili recipes prepared and served by participating restaurants and eateries. For more information, visit www.downtownwheaton.com.
Change Smoke Detector Batteries
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. When you change your clocks, the Wheaton Fire Department recommends you also change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. You should change the batteries about every six months to ensure the detectors will work correctly. Using Daylight Saving Time as a reminder of when you last changed batteries is an easy way to remember when it’s time to replace them.
