Thanks for a Great National Night OutThe Wheaton Police Department thanks all of you who joined us for National Night Out yesterday. Our officers and support staff enjoyed connecting with individuals and families in a supportive, friendly atmosphere.
Special thanks to these partner organizations who made the event such a success: Wheaton Park District, Wheaton Public Library, YWCA, DuComm, Lincoln Marsh Natural Area, League of Women Voters of Wheaton, NAMI DuPage, Wheaton Lions Club, Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans Inc., DuPage County Community Services, Family Shelter Service, and DJ Tim Wealton of The Record Shop. We are already planning next year's National Night Out and look forward to bringing even more of the community together in the future.

Speed Limit Change Now in EffectWheaton residential neighborhood streets now have a new speed limit. On Aug. 1, neighborhood streets changed from 30 mph to 25 mph. Find out which streets are not included in this change and more information at www.wheaton.il.us/Drive25. If you have a Drive 25 yard sign, please remember that it needs to be on private property, not on the parkway. (This typically means behind the sidewalk, closer to your house).
