Temporary Closures for Some Lot 9 Parking Spaces
The City of Wheaton will be temporarily closing some of the leased parking spaces in Commuter Parking Lot 9 due to construction on the City’s adjacent Public Works Storage Yard. The spaces are needed to allow construction trucks and City trucks to access the construction site.
During this project, the City will be allowing Lot 9 lease holders to park in the daily fee parking spaces in Lot 9, which are along the west side of the parking lot. The project is anticipated to be completed by October 2018. The City encourages citizens who use the daily fee parking spots in Lot 9 to use metered parking along Carlton and Liberty or unmetered parking south of Childs Street. For more information, see the City’s website.
