Share Your Thoughts on Adams Park Landscape Options

The City continues working toward creating a master landscape plan for Adams Park. Come out and share your input before the Wheaton Public Library’s Concert in the Park on Tuesday, June 19. Representatives will have displays with different landscaping options for you to view and share your opinion on which elements you like best. The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the library’s West Plaza, but you can visit the display starting at 6 p.m. – and get a free treat, too!

Concert on the Park: The StingRays

Enjoy the greatest rock ‘n roll from the 50s, 60s, and 70s with The StingRays! This energetic foursome will get you dancing and will test your trivia knowledge of your favorite rock ‘n roll oldies during a concert from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19. Concerts are free and held outdoors on Wheaton Public Library’s West Plaza overlooking Adam’s Park. Limited seating available; please feel free to bring chairs and blankets. Seating is first come, first served. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the library.

City Now Offers Online Option for Permit Payments

As part of the City’s continued rollout of online services, citizens can now pay permit fees online at www.wheaton.il.us/billpay. Earlier this year, the City rolled out the ability for applicants and contractors to view the status of their permits, plan reviews and inspection results online. To pay fees or bills online, visit the City’s website at www.wheaton.il.us/billpay.

Golf ball

Vote for Your Favorite Golf Ball Sculpture

Giant golf balls on display throughout Wheaton are the Fine & Cultural Art Commission’s way of marking the inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open, which will take place in Wheaton this July. The commission invited local artists to paint 3-foot diameter golf ball sculptures. Local companies or organizations sponsored the balls, with the final ball being a “community ball,” displaying the names of individuals or families who sponsored the ball.  The commission encourages you to see all of the balls and vote for your favorite at www.wheaton.il.us/golfballvoting. To see a map of the locations, visit the City’s website at www.wheaton.il.us/golf2018.
