French Market Returns This Saturday

It must be spring, because Wheaton’s French Market is back! From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, check out the outdoor market at Main Street and Liberty Drive, just south of the railroad tracks. There you will find produce, specialty foods, bakery items, flowers, crafts, handmade gifts and much more.

Note Road Closures for Fun Run in Color

This Saturday, the Wheaton Park District’s Fun Run in Color will take place. Note these road closures, which will be from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Storm Sewer Rate Change Effective May 1

Starting May 1, 2018, Wheaton residents will see an additional flat fee of $1.50 per month on their water/sewer bills, and an increase of $0.10 per 100 cubic feet of water used. These changes were approved by the City Council on April 2 to finance storm sewer operations and stormwater infrastructure projects.

Police Arrest 4 Suspects for Attempted Burglary & Possession of Stolen Vehicle

Wheaton Police responded to a report of an attempted residential burglary on Sunday night. Following a pursuit, Wheaton Police arrested four suspects in connection with the attempted burglary and for possession of a stolen vehicle. More information about this incident is on the City’s website.

Opportunity to Be Part of Community Golf Ball

This summer, the US Golf Association will host its first-ever U.S. Senior Women's Open Championship in Wheaton. Wheaton’s Fine & Cultural Arts Commission is celebrating this event with a community art project featuring 3-foot diameter golf ball sculptures displayed in multiple locations.
