State of the City 2025: Mayor Suess Highlights Wheaton’s Progress
During his State of the City Address on Feb. 20, Mayor Suess highlighted Wheaton’s continued financial strength, with a balanced budget and no increase in the property tax levy for the sixth consecutive year. He emphasized the City’s commitment to infrastructure, noting that over $30 million was invested in roads, water systems, and stormwater management in 2024.
Mayor Suess also spoke about the growth and vibrancy of downtown Wheaton, which was voted as the Best Downtown Atmosphere in the Daily Herald Reader’s Choice Awards.
