City of Wheaton Public Works Crews Continue Cleaning Up Storm Damage

City of Wheaton Public Works crews are working to clear storm-damaged trees and limbs from last week's severe weather and will continue working into next week. We appreciate your patience as crews continue working through storm-damaged areas.

To report storm damage that is located in the street, parkway or sidewalk, please use the City’s Online Request Form. Please note that City crews are only able to remove debris from City-owned trees, which includes those in the parkway and on City property, not trees on private property. Property owners with damage on private property should contact a contractor for assistance on their property, or use the City’s yard waste curbside program for branches and limbs following the requirements for pickup.

Wheaton Police Department to Begin Using Automated License Place Readers

The Wheaton Police Department will soon start using Automated License Place Readers to help identify vehicles driven by people suspected of criminal activity and locate vehicles associated with missing persons, Amber Alerts or individuals in crisis. We know the community may have questions about the capabilities of this technology and how the Wheaton Police Department will use it, so please take a moment to hear from Lt. Gabryel in this video and visit the City's website at www.wheaton.il.us/ALPR.
