Temporary Road Closures: Cream of Wheaton and Other Upcoming Events

There are several events this week which will involve temporary road closures and relocations including the Cream of Wheaton, the French Market, and the Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals.

Cream of Wheaton: This popular event has returned for another year of fun from Thursday, June 1 through Sunday, June 4, 2023. The weekend will consist of an arts and crafts fair, carnival, business expo, a variety of food vendors, and live entertainment at the bandshell in Memorial Park! A few roads in Downtown Wheaton will be closed leading up to and through Cream of Wheaton. For a detailed schedule of events and locations, visit the Wheaton Park District website. Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals: The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K, 10K & Kids’ 1/2 Mile will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3. Visit the City's website to view a map of the road closures and for more information.

French Market Temporary Relocation for Cream of Wheaton

Due to the Cream of Wheaton, the French Market will be temporarily relocated to Liberty Drive and Reber Street on Saturday, June 3. Roads temporarily closed include: Reber Street will be closed between Liberty Drive and Willow Avenue.

Register for Wheaton Bike Skills Bonanza at Cream of Wheaton

Bring your children age 12 and younger to the Wheaton Bike Skills Bonanza at Cream of Wheaton from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Wheaton Avenue & Union Avenue. This event will be led by Wheaton's Bicyclist and Pedestrian Commission. Young bicyclists will practice various bicycle safety techniques and maneuvers. Giveaways will be provided at the end! Riders need to be accompanied by an adult and wear a helmet. Vintage Rides Return June 6

Vintage Rides returns to Downtown Wheaton! Now on Liberty Drive, this community favorite event returns on select Tuesdays this June through August. Admire cars from Model Ts to Teslas, and everything in between, as the DJ spins tunes from 5-9 p.m. For more information and additional summer dates, visit the Downtown Wheaton Association’s website.

Wheaton Police Department Hosting Neighborhood Safety Events Starting June 6

The Wheaton Police Department will bring back its popular Neighborhood Roll Call events throughout the summer starting June 6. These family friendly outdoor community gatherings are designed to connect residents with the officers who serve them and share current safety information. Each Neighborhood Roll Call will start at 6:30 p.m. with a presentation by the Wheaton Police Department. For more information and a list of upcoming June events, visit the City's website.

Wheaton Police Department to Host Cops & Bobbers Event June 7

Come join the Wheaton Police Department and DuPage County Forest Preserve Police for Cops & Bobbers, a community event where kids can fish with the cops! The event will take place on Wednesday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Herrick Lake in the DuPage County Forest Preserve. Pre-register for the event by completing the online form.

Wheaton Municipal Band Concerts Return Next Week to Memorial Park

The Wheaton Municipal Band is back for another summer of performances and kicks off their season on June 8 at the bandshell in Memorial Park. Every Thursday, starting on June 8 through August 3, as weather permits, the Municipal band will hold a concert in the bandshell starting at 7:30 p.m. For a full calendar of performances, visit the Wheaton Municipal Band's website.
