Eastbound Lane of Prairie Avenue Temporarily Closed

The eastbound lane of Prairie Avenue near Wheaton Oaks Court is temporarily closed as of this morning while crews for AT&T perform emergency utility repairs. Flaggers will assist in directing traffic while crews are working, and barricades will divert traffic during evening hours. Restoration crews are anticipated to complete roadway patching and repairs early next week, barring unforeseen circumstances. Please use caution if you are driving in this area.

Additional Temporary Road Closures this Weekend

  • The 2023 College Church Run for the Stars 5K Race will take place on Saturday, May 20, beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding at 10:30 a.m. To view a list of temporarily closed streets, visit the City's website.
  • The Briar Glen Bulldog Run will be held on Sunday, May 21, beginning at noon. To view a list of temporarily closed streets, visit the City's website.

Residents, citizens, and motorists are being asked for their cooperation in not moving the barricades to ensure the safety of the runners. Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and choose to alter their travel route to avoid these areas.
