Wheaton French Market Returns Saturday, April 8The first week of the Wheaton French Market begins this Saturday, April 8! This year’s market will be the first time it is held under the City’s new downtown pavilion, just south of the railroad tracks near Main Street and Liberty Drive. This popular outdoor market run by Bensidoun USA is styled after the quaint outdoor markets of France, offering fresh produce, flowers, handcrafted goods, specialty foods, jewelry, crafts, baked goods and much more. Vendors often change throughout the season, so visitors will find different items each week.

Electronic Recycling Drop-off Event this SaturdayThis Saturday, April 8, the City and the Environmental Improvement Commission will host the monthly electronic recycling collection event at the Public Works Storage Yard, 820 W. Liberty Drive, from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information on accepted items, visit the City's website.

City to Improve 8 Miles of Wheaton RoadsThe City plans to improve approximately 8 miles of roads in 2023, with work kicking off this spring. This includes approximately 3.7 miles of roads being resurfaced or reconstructed by crews contracted by the City with R.W. Yard Waste Pickup Has ResumedYard waste, food scraps and organic materials are collected at the curb now through the second full week of December. Use containers no larger than 35 gallons in size or biodegradable paper bags. Each container/bag must weigh no more than 50 pounds and must have one LRS sticker attached to be collected. City Crews Removing Damage from Parkway TreesIf you have tree branches that came down with recent storms, please note that City crews will remove damage from parkway trees only. If you have branches/limbs from trees on private property, you can dispose of them using the curbside yard waste program through LRS.
