City Accepting Applications for New Program to Reduce Yard Flooding
The City of Wheaton has a new program to help residents reduce flooding or standing water in their yards that occurs after significant rainfall, making part of their yards unusable. This shared-cost program will reimburse up to 50% of the cost, up to $5,000, for property owners to have a contractor install a private storm sewer service in their yard that connects to the City’s storm sewer system.
Interested residents must submit an application for this program between now and Feb. 1, 2023. Find out more and get the application.
