City to Add 2 Miles of New Sidewalks this SpringThis week, the Wheaton City Council approved the first of two new sidewalk projects happening this year in Wheaton. This spring, crews will be adding approximately 2 miles of new sidewalks where none currently exist to improve safety in our community’s neighborhoods and make Wheaton more pedestrian friendly. This is part of the City Council’s multi-year plan to add sidewalks on at least one side of every neighborhood street. Property owners who will be affected by the work this spring received initial notices from the City and will receive further instructions once construction is scheduled.
