Starting Monday, April 17, a contractor for the City, R.W. Dunteman Company, will begin working to improve Wheaton roadways as part of the City's annual road program.
Each year, the City budgets to improve multiple miles of roads throughout the community based on factors such as condition and age. Depending on the condition of the roadway and underground utilities, the City will either resurface, rehabilitate or reconstruct roads, and work may also include replacing water main and/or replacing curbs. This year’s program includes improving more than 8 miles of Wheaton roads.
You can see a list of the roads scheduled to be improved through this program at www.wheaton.il.us/roads. In the coming weeks, road segments that will be improved by the City's Public Works crews will be added to this webpage.
If your property will be directly affected by this work, you will receive notices with more information and instructions before work begins. We will also post signs in work areas before crews begin working.
