As the Wheaton Police Department continually works to build relationships and connect with the community, the department has planned a lineup of events at different locations with something for everyone, culminating with National Night Out on Aug. 2 at Memorial Park. All events are free and open to all. We look forward to seeing you at these events:
Movie Night Out:
Thursday, July 28, 8 p.m.
Seven Gables Park, 1750 S. Naperville Road
For movie-lovers of all ages, join the Wheaton Police Department and Wheaton Park District in watching Zootopia under the stars at Seven Gables Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, your favorite movie snacks and some bug spray for this all-ages event.
Stuff the Squad & Microchip Scanning:
Saturday, July 30, 9-11 a.m.
Graf Park, 1855 Manchester Road
Pet-lovers and pet owners, this one is for you. Bring your pet to have their microchip scanned to ensure their information is up-to-date, and we will be filling up a squad car of donations for animals at DuPage County Animal Services.
Coffee with the Cops:
Sunday, July 31, 9-11 a.m.
Main & Front Street
Join officers for coffee and conversation in downtown Wheaton. We look forward to meeting you in an informal setting where you can ask questions and get to know your local police personnel.
National Night Out:
Tuesday, Aug. 2, 5-6 p.m. Sensory Hour, and 6-8 p.m. event
Memorial Park, 225 Karlskoga Ave.
Bring the entire family for food, music, games and more to this event that aims to build relationships between police departments and the communities they serve.
Cops & Bobbers
Monday, Aug. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Herrick Lake, entrance off of Butterfield road
Fish with the cops! This event is in partnership with DuPage Forest Preserve Police. No permits are required for children 15 and younger, and we ask that children are accompanied by an adult. Join us for free refreshments. Pre-registration encouraged online.
