Modified Services During COVID-19 Response

The Planning and Economic Development Department will continue to operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you need assistance, please call 630-260-2008 or via the contact information located on our website.

All City facilities will remain under a modified access mode until further notice. The City of Wheaton has instituted a policy of very limited contact with the public but we will still process Planning and Zoning Applications, perform plan reviews, and answer questions. We strongly encourage customers to send documents by email or fax, visit the website to learn about the City’s Planning and Development processes. If you wish to submit paper applications or plans, a drop box located on the west side drive of the City Hall complex is provided for you to leave your applications, building plans, and other documents. ALL submittal items must be placed in a secure envelope to prevent damage and lost information. Be sure that your paperwork has your contact information clearly and legibly printed. If items will need to be returned to the submitter, the submitter will be notified directly by office staff and the items will be placed in a clearly marked “Pick Up” box located outside the north entrance of City Hall (303 West Wesley Street).
