Community Relations Commission

Wheaton’s Community Relations Commission is responsible for promoting community involvement and volunteering. Each October, the commission organizes Make A Difference Day, where residents, schools and community organizations undertake projects that benefit others.

Each spring, the commission coordinates the Good Citizen Award program, which recognizes outstanding volunteers in the community. The commission also coordinates community outreach to Wheaton’s adopted Army Battalion, the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division
